Spring is here!

South Australia is in bloom, and everywhere is blossom and green grass, with leaf bud appearing in vineyards.

Its the perfect time to visit the McLaren Vale vineyards, and enjoy a leisurely lunch.
Our recommendations are just a few of many excellent venues.

Gather at Coriole vineyard, with a lovingly tendered vineyard and garden, they will be open for lunch 7 days a week from 1st September, look out for their Spring menu here https://www.coriole.com/Restaurant

Icon of McLaren Vale and the local favourite is Darry’s Verandah Restaurant, next to the creative wine experience The Cube.  Darry’s Lobster Bisque has been on the menu for decades, and there would be an outcry if it was removed!
Check out their menu here https://www.darenberg.com.au/darrys-verandah-restaurant/

Up on the hill overlooking the Southern Ocean is the Victory Hotel.  The views are expansive across McLaren Vale & the ocean, and their wine list has many local favorites.  Meals are reasonably priced, book ahead for lunch, as the locals love this place!
You can view their menu here https://victoryhotel.com.au/restaurant-menu/

If you want to spend more time among the vines, Angoves Winery have platters available at their Cellar Door.  View the menu here https://angove.com.au/cellar-doors/angove-mclaren-vale-cellar-door#kitchen

Biodynamic vineyard Wirra Wirra has the excellent Harry’s Deli, where you can savour the local produce including San Jose smallgoods.  Link for info https://www.wirrawirra.com/harrys-deli/

For the best views of the Southern coast we recommend Star of Greece at Port Willunga.  Check out their menu here https://www.starofgreece.com.au/menu/
